Our own chef is sharing her favorite homemade hummus recipe, passed down through her Italian/Middle Eastern heritage. Talk about some great, authentic hummus! Your mouth will do the happy dance when you get a bite of this amazing food!
What you need:
1 15oz. can of chick peas or garbonzo beans (drain the liquid and save)
¼ cup Tahini
1 clove of garlic
½ tsp. salt
¼ cup lemon juice from a small lemon
Blend for 2 – 3 minutes or until it is a smooth paste constancy.
Serve it up in a pretty dish, along with fresh veggies and pita chips for dipping.
Your family and friends will request this as often as you are willing to make it. It is absolutely delicious!
