High Protein Snacks for Weight Loss

Eggs, salsa, and berries are my very favorite high protein snacks for weight loss! I love to have eggs with salsa and berries for breakfast, or for a post workout high protein snack for weight loss. Studies prove that women who eat eggs for breakfast rather than simple carbs of the same calorie count, lose more weight and have much better blood sugar levels.

Since I have been eating eggs every morning after my workout, my belly has gone flat and I have lost 15 pounds. Now, I also eat clean, and follow a low carb,high protein diet because that is what makes me feel my best. We are all different, and what works for me may not work for you.

Healthy Breakfast Hack

When I am craving my morning eggs, salsa, and veggie omelette, but I don’t have time to chop everything fresh, I use frozen veggies. Most of the time they are flash frozen at optimum harvesting time, so they contain lots of vitamins and minerals. The taste is great, and the time saved allows me to have my favorite high protein snack for weight loss to start off my day. My energy is sustained throughout the morning, keeping me away from unhealthy choices later in the morning.

Starting my day with this healthy breakfast recipe ensures that I will make good snack choices throughout my day, keeping my weight at an optimum level. That’s a plus!

Healthy Breakfast Recipe or High Protein Snacks for Weight Loss

  • 1/2 cup frozen onion and peppers blend.
  • 1 cup frozen kale and or spinach.
  • Cook in 1 tablespoon unrefined cold pressed coconut oil until slightly browned on the edges.
  • Scoot to the side of the skillet and quickly scramble 2 eggs on the other side.
  • Stir together.
  • Put in on your favorite plate, top with salsa and add some berries fro an extra pop of color, flavor, and antioxidants.
